ENR Ranks Layton Construction 50th Largest U.S. Contractor

ENR Magazine announced the results of its annual Top 400 Contractors survey today, and Layton Construction is ranked #50 among more than half a million commercial contractors in the United States.

Layton, perennially ranked in the ENR Top 100, rose three spots from its No. 53 ranking from 2017, on revenues of $1.4 billion.

Layton Construction was founded in 1953 by Alan W. Layton, a decorated World War II veteran, and has grown to over 800 employees. The company has 10 offices coast to coast and is constructing in virtually every industry across the U.S., including healthcare, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, education, office, industrial, detention, tenant improvement and public facilities.

ENR, the publication of record for the construction industry, noted that domestic construction is experiencing one of its longest booms ever, and yet companies don't see any signs of slowing down in the near future. “Contracting revenue from U.S. projects rose a healthy 4.9%, to $322.83 billion, on top of a 9.4% rise in domestic revenue last year and a 9.5% increase the year before,” the magazine said.
