Great Lakes Cheese
Layton constructed this cheese packaging facility using the design-build delivery method to expedite the building process and complete the fast track project ahead of schedule.
The building includes 175,000 SF of receiving and shipping coolers, bulk cheese processing areas and shipping docks, and 5,000 SF of office and maintenance space.
Because the food packaging industry demands constant equipment upgrades, the building was designed for future expansion as well as flexibility of equipment placement. This design extended the building life cycle from 30 years to 50 years.
