The tribal jail functions under direct supervision, allowing the detention staff to build personal relationships with the inmates. This aids in the operation of a safely run facility while reducing the recidivism numbers.
The facility has two octagonal detention pods flanking central administration. The main level of the administration building includes booking, central control, the kitchen and laundry and program rooms for inmate education. The upper level of the administration building houses the courtroom, the Chief Judge, prosecution, public defender, and adult parole and probation.
